Guest Speaker, Rev. Shinji Seki of Honolulu Christian Church
A special Sunday filled with grace as we welcomed Rev. Seki and his wife from Honolulu. The service featured a moving baptism ceremony, a beautiful gospel hula performance, and a warm time of fellowship with visiting ministers.
Rev. Seki and his wife, Rei, from Honolulu Christian Church, traveled all the way to visit us here in Tucson. During the service, Rev. Seki delivered a powerful message titled "Prepare the Way of the Lord," based on Isaiah 40:1-5. Following a moving testimony by a beloved sister, we held a baptism ceremony.
Afterward, Rei-san offered a beautiful hula worship to the song "As Jesus Did." Everyone in attendance was deeply moved by the spiritual beauty of the gospel hula and her radiant smile, which was filled with the Lord's love.
Additionally, Rev. Tsutomu Yaso from Japan International Baptist Church (JIBC) Phoenix rushed to join us and offer a prayer immediately after his own service in Phoenix. We are truly grateful to Rev. Yaso for driving the Sekis back to their accommodations on his way home. We were also blessed to hear a congratulatory message and testimony from Rev. Kazuo Ozaki, who has long led the Bible study group attended by our newly baptized sister. It was a special service overflowing with grace, featuring three wonderful ministers. We pray for God’s abundant blessings upon our sister’s new journey of faith in the Lord.
During the luncheon following the service, we enjoyed a wonderful time of fellowship between the ministers and the congregation. We give all thanks to the Lord!
